What is Typing Battle?

BattleTyping's Typing Battle is a real-time typing game for up to 8 players. No sign-up is needed: pick a nickname and start. If not enough people are online, bots join the game, and you can send a room code or invite link to play with friends.

Game modes

Survival

Type a falling word and press Enter or Space to clear it. When a word hits the bottom line you lose HP, and at 0 HP you are out. Building a 5-word combo or clearing a long word sends a red attack word to another player. Attack words are longer and fall faster, so attacking well is the key to winning. The last player standing wins.

Speed

Same rules as Survival, but words fall 1.5 times faster and more often. Made for fast typists.

Time Attack

90 seconds of pure scoring with no elimination. Every cleared word adds points, and longer combos are worth more. Each missed word costs 30 points. The highest score when time runs out wins.

Sentence Race

Everyone gets the same three sentences. Type a sentence exactly to move to the next one, and the first to finish all three wins. Typos must be fixed before you can move on, so both speed and accuracy matter. You can watch everyone's progress live on the track.

Tips to win

• Lowest words first: clear the words closest to the bottom to protect your HP. If the same word appears twice, the lower one is cleared first.
• Keep your combo: a typo resets your combo to zero. Typing the words you are sure of is the best way to attack often.
• Grab golden words: clearing a glowing golden word restores HP.
• Practice against the right bot: bot levels match the typing test ranks, so practicing against a bot one level above yours is a great way to improve.
